I mean, how screwed up is it when we have to write laws to stop targeted stereotyping? They shouldn't even have to be protected in the first place! It's like, discriminating against someone who chooses a vegitarian or vegan lifestyle. I mean, if it's legal to just fire someone for who they lay with, would it be legal to fire someone because they listen to slash metal or view hentai?

Let's take out religeon. Seperation of church and state. It's in the constitution. How is being gay 'immoral?' Unnatural? Is that their justification to vilify it? The entire human race is unnatural. We're self-predatory, we copulate for means other than reproduction, we commit suicide. That's not natural. What's a little bit of preference for the same gender compared to intentional genocide?

It's 2009, and I can be fired just for viewing male pornographic images. Just recently, a Lt. Commander was a closet gay, someone outed him. He never admitted to anything, and he still got fired from his position. Technically, I can't even receive falatio from my wife without committing a crime. Even consentual 'sodomy/unnatural sex acts' in a marriage has a maximum sentance of five years in prison. No one's ever been thrown into prison for doing that in recent years, but it's still on the records.

I think a written amendment to the US Constitution is required, since implying something in 'ursuit of Happiness' doesn't seem to retain water. It's a shame we have to specifically protect certain groups when they shouldn't even be under fire legally in the first place.

It's just stupid the things we can get away with regarding our fellow men and women.

Yeah. That's just my DeviantSpace rant. Chapter 6 goes up early on Friday. One of the characters makes the remark 'Buncha queers' because they're playing no-holds barred spin the bottle. So if you're a dude, and it lands on the dude, you still gotta kiss. Now, in 1998 when the story takes place, 'Buncha faggots' would've flown. But it's 2009 now, regardless of when the story takes place, and things are very different eleven years later. And the character in question's views of the time got me thinking. The above rant is the result of that thinking.

Got to brief a Major General from the Army about what my equipment does. What does it do? Hosts the central encrypted and unencrypted networks, as well as extend services to other areas of the base and support additional users. Basically, a big-ass LAN with internet access. I really hope we have the 3750's. 12-port 2950's SUCK! That's four times the weight, and four times the number of machines I have to program.
